Description: The City of Prince George Hydropoly and hydroline datasets are used to portray surface water. The hydopoly and hydroline datasets represent the drainage network with features such as rivers, streams, canals, lakes, ponds and dams. These datasets were derived from the DEm produced from the 2014 LiDAR data capture point cloud. These polygon areas are defined by their subtypes using the CCSM codes;Canada Council on Surveying and Mapping, the custodian of national feature codes. The CCSM 1984 Draft Report on the classification of topological features is used as a government-wide standard. The Ministry of Forests uses this standard to create Feature Codes.Hydrography is the branch of applied sciences which deals with the measurement and description of the physical features of oceans, seas, coastal areas, lakes and rivers, as well as with the prediction of their change over time
